For a voluntary community centre, grant support like this makes a real difference. It allows us to keep improving the building, replacing and upgrading facilities and making Darrara Community Centre a better space for the many local groups, families and individuals who use it.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Cork County Council and our local councillors for their continued support.

A big thank you also goes to everyone on our voluntary committee who gave their time to source, organise and install the various improvements. Much of the work that goes into maintaining and developing a community facility happens quietly behind the scenes, and we are very grateful to everyone who contributes.

Over two creative days later this summer, you’ll craft your own handmade doll while exploring imagination, self-expression, healing and connection in a warm and supportive space.

We’re delighted to welcome West Cork Performing Arts to Darrara Community Centre, Clonakilty!

These engaging acting and drama classes are all about helping children find their voice, grow in confidence, and express their creativity in a fun and supportive environment.

Led by West End & screen actor David O’Mahony alongside TV & film actress Ali Bastian, students will develop their performance skills through a nurturing group setting.

Using drama games, exercises, and real-world performance techniques, children will flourish, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.
