This information relates to the general privacy policy of Darrara Community Council Muintir na Tíre Ltd.
We hold names, email addresses, telephone numbers, and addresses for individuals, in relation to their roles within organisations. This data is obtained only from the individuals themselves. This data is retained for as long as the organisation has an active relationship with Muintir na Tíre. In certain circumstances (e.g. where state funded grants are involved), we may need to hold this data for audit purposes for 7 years from the date of last transaction. In all other cases, we will delete this data, when requested to do so by the individual, or when superceded by new data provided by the organisation.
Our legal basis for processing this data is to provide support services to organisations.
This data may be stored on cloud based servers, including servers based outside the EEA. Where this occurs, we review the service provider’s compliance with GDPR, including their controls over data transfers.
Other than the use of third party processors, and as required by law or funding conditions, we do not share data with third parties. Examples of funding conditions include where we process state funding and are required to provide the funder with certain details of applications.
Darrara Community Council Muintir na Tíre Ltd provides for data access requests from our customer. This information will be returned within one month of request. Any inaccurate data will be rectified once notified to us.
Any data breaches will be reported to the affected customers and the Data Protection Commissioner within 72 hours.
Overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with Data Protection Acts rests with Darrara Community Council Muintir na Tíre Ltd. However, our responsibility varies depending upon whether we are acting as either a data controller or a data processor. All employees and contractors of Darrara Community Council who separately collect, control or process the content and use of personal data are individually responsible for compliance with the Data Protection Acts.
While Darrara Community Council is not required to have a Data Protection Officer, Muintir na Tíre has decided it best practice to do so. The Data Protection Officer is Muintir na Tíre’s Chief Executive Officer, Niall Garvey. He coordinates the provision of support, assistance, advice, and training within Muintir na Tíre to ensure that the company is in a position to comply with the legislation.
